In September 2023, Hubei Shengda Automobile signed a contract with a local municipal sanitation department to supply 30 sanitation special vehicles, including garbage trucks and street sweepers. This cooperation aims to improve the urban sanitation level and environmental protection capabilities. The local municipal sanitation department is responsible for the sanitation work of an urban area with a population of more than 1 million and an area of 500 square kilometers. With the acceleration of urbanization, the amount of garbage generated has been increasing year by year, and the requirements for urban sanitation have become higher and higher.
The garbage trucks provided by Hubei Shengda are designed with large-capacity garbage bins and advanced compression systems, which can effectively increase the garbage collection capacity and reduce the frequency of garbage transportation. The garbage bin of each garbage truck has a volume of 12 cubic meters, and after compression, the actual garbage loading capacity can reach 18 cubic meters, which is 50% higher than that of traditional garbage trucks. The compression system uses a hydraulic drive, with a compression ratio of 1:3, which can reduce the volume of garbage significantly. This reduces the number of trips for garbage transportation from 8 times a day to 5 times a day, saving a lot of time and fuel costs.
The street sweepers are equipped with high-pressure water spraying systems and efficient sweeping devices, which can quickly and thoroughly clean the road surface, improving the cleaning efficiency by 30% compared to traditional manual cleaning methods. The high-pressure water spraying system can spray water at a pressure of 15MPa, which can easily remove stubborn stains on the road surface. The sweeping device uses a combination of a main brush and side brushes, with a sweeping width of 3.5 meters. It can collect garbage into the garbage bin while sweeping, with a cleaning rate of more than 98%. In the cleaning of a main road in the city center, which is 5 kilometers long and 20 meters wide, the street sweeper can complete the cleaning work in only 1 hour, while it takes 5 workers 3 hours to complete the same work manually.
Moreover, these sanitation special vehicles are designed with environmental protection in mind. They adopt low-emission engines and energy-saving control systems, reducing the impact on the urban environment during operation. The engines of the garbage trucks and street sweepers meet the National VI emission standards, with nitrogen oxide emissions reduced by 70% compared to National V standards. The energy-saving control system can automatically adjust the engine speed according to the working conditions, reducing fuel consumption by 10% to 15%. Hubei Shengda Automobile also provides training for the sanitation department's operators on vehicle operation and maintenance to ensure the normal operation of the vehicles. The training content includes vehicle structure, operation procedures, daily maintenance, and troubleshooting. A total of 50 operators have received the training, and the pass rate of the assessment is 100%.
The relevant person in charge of the municipal sanitation department said: "The sanitation special vehicles provided by Hubei Shengda Automobile have greatly improved our urban sanitation work efficiency. Their environmental-friendly design also conforms to the concept of building a green city. In the past six months, the urban sanitation quality has been significantly improved, and the public satisfaction with the urban environment has increased from 85% to 95%. We plan to introduce more intelligent sanitation vehicles, such as driverless street sweepers, in the next two years, and we hope to cooperate with Hubei Shengda Automobile to develop and produce these vehicles."
